Under the supervision of the supervisor, this position is to assist in the maintenance, repair and stabilization of structures and surfaces of brick, stone, block and other related materials the include:
Mixing soils, water and amendments for mortars as prescribed. Removing damaged portions of walls or other similar architectural features in preparation for repair of damaged stabilization and original fabric. Implementing prescribed preservation treatment (capping, veneering, re-pointing, resetting, new laying, etc. Recording the location, time and materials and labor involved in the treatment process. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to do the work without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc (includes blueprints reading) Measurement and Layout Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Materials Exterity and Safety If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
